Great opportunity to acquire a BMW 520i SE Touring (G31) in outstanding condition, with low mileage (48k).    

Presented in Bluestone metallic, the car is in pristine condition throughout – the paintwork is all factory original, with absolutely no car parks dings/dents whatsoever, and only very minimal stone chips to the front.  The interior is in excellent order, and the electric heated M-Sport seats (an upgrade over the standard SE spec) are in superb condition – it is an extremely nice place to be. The boot carpet shows no signs or wear at all, and a genuine BMW boot floor protector is included.

It has had 3 previous (private) owners, all of whom have clearly cherished the car.  After being supplied new, the car was subsequently sold by BMW on their Approved Used scheme – it has never been sold by an independent garage.   This was an important factor when we purchased it from the last owner – I am very meticulous about my cars and it took a long time to find the right one, it is quite simply one of the very best examples out there.

Being the SE model, it has none of the harshness of the M-Sport on UK roads – the additional compliance makes for a serene, relaxed drive at any speed, during long and short distance journeys alike.  I have owned many prestige cars during the last 25 years, including from BMW, Audi, Jaguar and more, and this is the most comfortable and refined of them all – by a long way.

The wheels may seem small, given the trend for massive wheels, but they give a level of ride & refinement befitting of a luxury BMW, and provide superb isolation from our increasingly pot-holed roads.  Road noise levels are extremely low, and wind noise is practically non-existent.  It’s the only car I’ve owned where you can have a conversation with passengers without raising your voice at all.

The BMW 2.0 petrol 4-cylinder engine is very refined and responsive, yet also provides excellent fuel economy – we have averaged 42 mpg, and 50+ mpg is achievable on long drives.  The 8-speed (ZF) gearbox is frankly considerably better than VAG’s dual clutch efforts, with extremely quick and smooth shifting, as well as being very intuitive – it’s always in the right gear for every situation.
