INTERIOR…

I am sure some on this group will know me, Andrew Goater, regarding PG1 gearbox building. Over the last 10 or more years, I have supplied numerous B4BP close ratio gearboxes for Lotus cars on this group.

For racing the B4BP is too long gears. In a similar way that Lotus have their own UCR gear in the 340R cars, I have had custom made a 3 gear (6 sprocket) kit which uses the original C ratio gears 1 and 2 but a very close ratio 3, 4 and 5. The intention is you only use 1st gear off the line and 2 to 5 are very close. It fits a C6BP 3.9 final drive box and on 16" wheels gives a top speed of 125mph. If you use bigger wheels or your engine revs more than 7500rpm a 4.2 final drive can be used.

The gears are helical and are the same tooth design as the original gears. So, unlike using straight cut, these are quiet.

3rd, 1.47. 4th, 1.222, 5th, 1.034.

At 70mph (113kph) the rpm's are at 4500 in top gear. This does mean it's very fast to accelerate at this …

2001 Elise S2 long tail soft top in very good condition, no damage anywhere, always covered with a heavy duty shower cap, whether at home under my carport or when parked up elsewhere, especially at work, partly to keep the rain out and also protect it from U/V Reason for selling now is that I've got a hardtop version which will remain permanently on my much modified car with it's GT40 LeMans colour scheme. Leather covered side sills, with blue stitching, from my S2, very good condition, selling them as I've replaced them with some carbon ones. Also included with them are a matching gear lever and handbrake gator with the blue stitching, which i never got around to fitting. I've now been asked how much to collect them, rather than having them delivered, and the answer I said was £110 as it saves the hassle of boxing them up and taking them to the Post office or Evri depot.

To prevent problems with the original plastic dipstick fracturing and ending up in the sump, potentially wrecking the engine, I designed and tested these plugs, the idea being that you fit this in place of the plastic stick, (which you keep on board for checking the oil level) then run at whatever revs. without any worries! As a bonus it adds a bit of bling to the engine bay! They're fitted with 3 viton 'O' rings, the handle being secured with a titanium screw. Delivery is to U/K only

Pair of Elise front uprights, from my 2001 S2, they have been bead blasted and triple powder coated, for the rebuild of my car.

They'd had new bearings fitted, but the car wasn't driven out of the workshop before they were dismantled and replaced with a pair of Gaz's CNC machined ally ones.

There are a few small places where the paint has come off during assembly and subsequent dismantling, which you can see if you zoom in, nothing drastic though!

Delivery will be at cost with Paisley Freight, as they're the cheapest for heavy items.

I’m reluctantly putting my beloved Lotus up for sale, because of lack of use due to having a young family, ideally I’d love for it to go to another Lotus enthusiast, who would massively benefit from an already converted S2!

2002 Elise S2 in Ruby red. 89k miles. It's a much loved car and I will be sad to see it go but needs must. Only selling due to unexpectedly buying a Porsche 911 recently that will take the garage space in due corse.

It's a sport 135 edition, comes with a few tweaks from the factory like the uprated aluminium intake and as the name suggests 135hp over the base 120hp. It goes, stops and handles exactly as an Elise should, fantastic car to drive. Got the long tail roof in red and its storage bag that neatly fits in the back and clips in easy enough.

Recent updates the interior, replacing the worn leather door cards with Alcantara to match the dash. Matching 4 Toyo tyres, brand new rears and fronts with plenty of tread.

Got a couple of minor cosmetic imperfections up close thanks to fibreglass and time mainly on the front below the badge as shown in the photos. Still presents very well and doesn't detract from the overall look at all.
