Basso diamanté frameset in size 53 / Medium. This is Basso’s top end lightweight climbing frameset. Colourway is candy red fade to raw carbon – difficult to photograph well but absolutely stunning in the flesh.
Size 53 / medium giving a Reach of 349mm, Stack of 559mm and 545mm effective top tube.
This is my second Basso having loved my first (an Astra) I bought this as a brand new whole bike in April last year and rode it in dry weather from May to the start of September, when I ended up with an injury on my gravel bike & off bikes for quite a while. I’ve absolutely loved how this bike rides and handles as well but have rethought my cycling plans for this year and I’m selling the frameset. I’ve left wire in the frame to help the next builder pull through cables.
Includes Basso fuga integrated handle bar
/ Stem cockpit (370 mm at hoods, 400 mm at drops and 110mm stem length), Basso Garmin/wahoo computer mount, Basso carbon seatpost and Shimano BB. These components are all in excellent condition as is the frameset with the exception of a small paint chip on the top tube from a brick column in my basement and some chain scuffing to the lacquer on the underside of the right chain stay. Given the position this isn’t noticeable unless looked for.
This is a super light frameset at 760 grams bare with a fantastic ride quality, yet still stiff where it matters. With Scribe 42D wheels, Ultegra group and Time pedals it came in at 7.2kg fully built. The handlebars are an excellent shape, I’ve found them superbly comfortable, they were only fitted around the end of July 26. The steerer was cut to leave 20mm for spacers (4x 5mm Basso proprietary spacers included).
Frameset will ship in a Basso frameset box. Happy to discuss a deal on the frameset minus the Fuga cockpit.
