I have owned the car for just over a year and have spent over £6, 000 to get it back to a future classic. I have just had the car MOT’d so it has a full 12 months on it. The following work has all been done in the last 12 months and less than 2,000 miles –
- Brand new cylinder head purchased from Elise Parts
- New uprated head gasket
- Oil ladder fitted
- Piston liners height adjusted with all new associated gaksets
- Coolant change along with a new water pump and cam belt
- Elise Parts Remote Thermostat
- Oil and filter change
All of the above work was completed by Purbeck Sports Cars which is a well known specialist in Dorset. I have also had the following fitted by another sports car specialist called Worx Motorsport –
- Coolex Aluminium radiator and fan
- Roose Motorsport compete silicone coolant hose kit in black
- Elise Parts metal coolant hose
- Elise parts Throttle Linkage kit
Then I have also fitted the below parts personally –
- Gaz fully adjustable coilover suspension – These were purchased from another member on Seloc. I also have the original Bilstein suspension
- New front lower ball joints and toe links
- New front brake pads including Elise Parts pin kit and shims
- New brake fluid and all brake completely bled
- Induction kit – original airbox included
- New genuine window seals (very rare and super expensive)
- Allon White refurbished soft top
- DAB Radio with USB input
- Not in the picture but I’ve just fitted a new Cotswold Motorsport phone holder (magsafe)
- Elise Parts short shift kit and gear knob
- Lorini Exhaust – The best you can buy in my opinion and it doesn’t sound too loud.
The Elise has full service history, two keys and stacks of invoices / original books etc. It’s fully HPI clear but feel free to do your own checks. The rear bumper has a small crack (see picture) but even with this, it’s one of the cleanest S2 for under £19k in the country.
I’m only selling as we need a new family car. It’s also been garaged since i’ve purchased it.
The car is currently on a private registration that will be removed before sale.
