Would you also like to have these rare and no longer available smoked indicators in your S1 Elise. But you are not prepared to pay up to 200 GBP for a single indicator, and most of these are used parts ?

I am not and was not prepared to accept these prices. I also discovered that there are no indicators at all for the rear. The installation of the front glasses causes a not inconsiderable deviation in the radiation. I don’t know how this is handled in the UK, but in the EU every vehicle loses its registration. So I decided to go my own way. To develop a universal blinker and then have it professionally manufactured in small quantities. In my design, I kept almost 1:1 to the original, but avoided some of the weak points of the original.
(1) Depending on requirements, the lenses made from the original PMMA material using the vacuum casting process can be used for the front or rear by bonding them rotated by 180°.
(2) The reflector is a two-part in-house development made of 3D printed ABS with molded-in brass threads and interchangeable socket for both types ( brake and/or indicator ). Most indicators break when they are removed for the first time. There are several reasons for this. The laminated thread breaks out when trying to open the rusted screws.
To get these parts I had to order at least 20 glasses from China and 20 reflector sets from Bulgaria. I sold 14 of them via our German Lotusform and Ebay so that I could compensate for my costs to some extent. The demand was so great that I have reordered 40 pieces and as it looks at the moment I will also order a third time.
