Nitron 46 R1, 1-way, 900/1100 springs (not in the picture), other alternatives could be discussed and potentially be supplied. Used for 5 months, 3720 km. €2800.

The 46 R1 is superior to the Club Sport in every measurable parameter and a damper that you could build on to further develop the performance. The larger piston is a must to get control over stiffer springs. However, they may be noisy and if your focus is not to lower lap times and have more fun on the track, this is probably not the option to go for. I have some ideas on springs, whicht can also be discussed.

It saves 1.6 kg per front unit over OE Bilstein and 2.8 kg rear, so all in all 8.8 kg. The spring makes up a substantial part of the weight and front was supplied with 8″, while rear was supplied with 5″, hence the larger weight saving rear. I can share the drawing of the new upper mount for the front, which saves another 7 hg per side, so 1.4 kg in total.

The 46 R1’s are 0.5-1 s quicker than the Club Sports per 1 minute lap, which I have same day test results of. Then the Club Sports are, considering all parameters 2-2.5 s quicker than the standard chassi per 1 minute lap with semi slicks (R tyres).

Overall characteristics of the shock absorber itself, as measured in a dyno, are very similar to the OE Bilstein, but with adjustability and overall higher spec on every detail + matched with 150% stiffer springs front and 100% stiffer rear. The car is surprisingly calm and comfortable, but off course with a higher ride frequency and less overall body movements.

Data, settings and advices for possible updates at next service will be shared.
