Gibson SG Standard 1973 with original Gibson hard case
Additional Info
| Condition | Used |
Selling my Gibson SG Standard which I have owned since 1994…….not Lotus, but I thought I’d try it here first
Pot codes date Oct/Nov 1973 though it could be a 1974 Limited Edition model as it has the unbound ebony fretboard
In original condition – wide frets with plenty of life, Super Humbucking pickups, Schaller harmonica bridge and 1 9/16ths nut width with volute
When I bought it, it had a repaired neck fracture and has not moved in 32 years – luckily not a complete headstock break, so any easy fix – the original Cherry nitro finish has faded slightly on the top and back of the neck, but they all do if used
Super clean cosmetic condition as indeed is the original purple lined Gibson tolex hard case which is almost mint with all latches working and no damage to the tolex- the guitar has been gigged but looked after and never been chucked in the back of a van
It has three minor edge dinks – no buckle rash to the back – all electrics work fine
Its collection only from Solihull I’m afraid – no postage
Can WhatsApp more pics
You are welcome to come and try or meet at the Birmingham Guitar Show 28th Feb-1st March which is 5 mins from me
