“The lock mechanism on your Lotus is a generic lock manufactured by GM; whereas the door beam striker pin itself is made specifically for Lotus. Basically, the pin is manufactured 1mm too small in diameter; this looseness then causes your door to rattle annoyingly over bumpy surfaces which will eventually badly wear your lock mechanism. Our Anti-Rattle Stainless Steel door pins alleviate this movement as they are made to the correct dimensions. Not only that but because it’s polished stainless steel it looks good too.”
