1999 Lotus Elise S1

Lotus Elise S1 1999

I am selling my wife’s Elise, which she bought new in 1999. Although she still loves the car, she is no longer able to drive it due to a serious sports injury to her left shoulder (hence cannot change gear ☹). This is an honest, presentable, useable car and it has never been tracked or messed about with.

The car was supplied new with metallic paint, driving lights, black leather upholstery, an Alpine radio cassette with a CD autochanger and a Cobra alarm. Over the last 26 years it has benefited from a number of useful upgrades, including:

• Bilstein S2 suspension
• Pro-alloy triple pass radiator
• Pro-alloy 48 litre aluminium fuel tank
• Spitfire fuel pump
• JanSpeed sports exhaust

I am happy to provide a 4 page summary of all the work, upgrades and repairs which have been carried out over the life of the car, and I have a comprehensive folders with all the receipts. The car is fitted with Advan A08R tyres, which have done 5,500 miles, and it has an MOT until 22 October 2026. The head gasket was replaced in February 2024, at which date a new cambelt was fitted.
