I was tempted to keep this one, as it’s probably the final (out of a dozen or so), LCs that I’ve restored, but it’s going.

I recently built this one for a friend who sadly pulled out for health reasons. I was going to convert it to a 350 or 370, but then we saw how original it is and little use it as had, so decided to keep it stock. Plan was then to upgrade it later on to a 350 or Fahron 370.

It’s fully rebuilt including the frame in painted in black enamel, paintwork all in 2k met blue. Full engine rebuild including new crank, using OE Yamaha seals etc.

Best thing is that this hasn’t been used much at all (standard bore still usable, gearbox had no wear). Matching numbers.

Refurbed 350 pipes, so good if you want to upgrade. I also have an LC 350 top end that has been rebored by PJ Engineers and a new Fahron 370 kit, 350 oil pump / drive, available (not included), if you want to convert the motor. 250 stickers aren’t lacquered for this reason, think I also have some 370 ones.

New head bearings, fully rebuilt forks. The frame and swing arm have been professionally resprayed using enamel paint, not powder coated.

Bodywork sprayed in Epoxy Primer then painted in Candy Blue 2k, with graphics by Image Works. Very hard to get proper petrol proof 2k these days.

Rebuilt gold spot calipers, clutch, EBC Z ring chain, sprocket, bearings as needed, new braided brake lines etc.

Rebuilt Master Cylinder

High quality recovered standard seat.

Refinished standard exhausts, wheels, pretty much everything. New Avon tyres.

New battery etc etc. This list is just a small part of the work involved. I spent way too much on this restoration as always.

1982 tie bar model, 12K KMs with a gen Yamaha MPH speedo face fitted. V5 Historic registered.
