Long term Lotus owner here. Have reluctantly decided to sell this however I will be back in the Lotus fold soon for sure.
Finished in Cyan Blue – 1 of only 2 in the UK – with exclusive Cyan Blue interior colour pack (HVAC console, gearshift top, bucket seat eyelets, window switch bezels and yellow spoiler uprights. It is achingly beautiful to look at and gets a lot of attention on the road, at Lotus events and strangely a lot of admiration from many bikers.
This car also has all the right Carbon goodies that make these S3’s so nice. It has the Carbon front splitter, front service/access panel, roof, tailgate and spoiler, and also Carbon seats with contrasting yellow stitching (not all of the S3’s have these) with the 410 embroided stitching.
It has the satin black light-weight forged wheels shod in Michellin Cup 2 tyres, with yellow callipers which work nicely with the spoiler uprights.
Under the hood is the 3.5 litre V6 engine with edelbrock supercharger, charge cooler, light-weight fly wheel and standard in the 410 uprated clutch. There are 3-way adjustable Nitron dampers and springs all round, light-weight lithium battery and the 3-drive modes – Drive, Sport and Race. I’ve not actually tried either of the latter. Stopping it on a dime are the light-weight J-hook brakes and yellow AP Racing callipers.
It also has working air con, yay!
So, all of the above is Lotus spec standard. In addition, it has the soft-top roof prep already done, the exhaust valve button – so you hear it at full chat when you both start the car and below 4,000 revs. There is also a slightly larger stereo face with full bluetooth and apple acr play. I wasn’t sure about the latter at first but it is surprisingly useful on longer journeys so would do that again in a heartbeat. It also has clean PPF to the front, sides just in front of the rear wheels and mirrors.
The car has always been garaged. It was serviced last year so will be due the minor one (c. £300) but has done minimal mileage since so I have reflected in the price but will leave it up to the new owner if they want to put a few miles on it during the summer before the service.
This car was so good that it’s the second time I’ve owned it – I regretted letting it go previously and managed to track it down and buy it back, hopefully will give you some reassurance that it is a good one! I’ve seen another car that I want to try and life is short so time to give it a go.
