Hi all, bit of a long shot if/what value this has? I removed this original Rover PG1 Gear Box – Close Ratio from my 1999 Elise 111s 2yrs ago with 68k miles. The synchro mesh from 4th down to 3rd started to get a little crunchy, other than that it was fine. I bought a whole reconditioned one at the time and fitted that for speed / turning around my car for road trips. With the intent to rebuild this at some point and shift it on. Never got around to it and now my Elise 111s is sold.
To pallet and send this from Aberdeen, UK to anywhere in the UK is around £125 and hoping to get £75 for it = hence £200 asking price. Maybe of value to someone? not sure… Kept in dry storage under wraps and the residue gearbox oil has wept around it while stored, so needs a good clean / rebuild etc.
