This is a great opportunity to acquire a really well maintained and unmodified 335d xDrive M Sport Touring. My BMW dealer recently commented on what a stunning example it is, saying they don’t see many like this any more.

Originally the top model in the F30/31 3-series range, the 335d xDrive is one of the last properly agile BMWs that delivers that elusive combination of great performance (309bhp, 465 Ilbs/ft, 4.9s to 60mph) and taut, driver-focussed handling, together with a high degree of practicality and great fuel economy – I have averaged 45mpg, and it achieves 55mpg on the motorway.

Cosmetically the car is standard and in fantastic condition, with the addition of the gloss black front grilles and rear diffuser for a more purposeful look, plus a boot loading sill protector.

The car has always been driven with mechanical sympathy by myself and the previous owner, a fastidious retired chap – always warmed up correctly, used for mostly long journeys – this is not a car that has been thrashed. The 3.0 twin turbo straight six, coupled with the silky smooth and very intuitive ZF 8 speed automatic gearbox is a fantastic combination, with huge reserves of torque through the rev range, and a very linear and instant throttle response. Combined with the xDrive 4WD capability and 500 litre boot this car is quite some package – ideal for families and keen drivers alike.

There are several driving modes to alter the cars personality to suit your mood – Sport+ and Sport give you the ultimate performance and the sharpest response to your inputs. Normal and Eco Pro modes will deliver excellent economy, and you are still a shift paddle pull away from great performance.

The wheels have been professionally refurbished during my ownership to the BMW Ferric Grey II colour (same as M140i). The tyres have also been replaced with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6’s all round. A full set of immaculate BMW 18” double spoke 397 style wheels will be included if the asking price is paid – ideal for winter use.

The exterior is in superb order – all original paint – and has been regularly detailed to preserve the condition.

Like the exterior, the interior has been extremely well cared for and presents in outstanding condition, with full black leather seats and door inserts.

The car has absolutely no faults, rattles or squeaks – testimony to the superb engineering and build quality.

Genuine BMW all-weather floor mats were purchased a few months ago and are included (plus the original carpet mats). The car has never been smoked in. The boot carpet is immaculate and a tailored boot floor protector is also included.

There is a large history file with the car, including service invoices, MOTs and more. Additional oil changes in between the services have also been carried out – the ideal way to look after an engine properly. Both keys and the handbook/wallet are also present.

The eagle eyed will spot the car has been debadged – purely because I prefer the cleaner look (original 335d badges are available from BMW).
