With huge regret i have to put up for sale my 2eleven. The arrival of baby twins has changed my circumstances and i just dont have the time to use it.
The car was a 2010MY that was built as a racecar (not a roadcar) for the lotus cup in Japan. Went over with 15 cars i believe as a NA model….. But it never saw the track once. It was used in a motorshow on display and was eventually shipped to new zealand to a lotus dealer for display. A collector from the uk purchased it and it stayed in his collection for years not putting any miles on her.
It was eventually road registered in 16 by the collector who got hexagon lotus in london to sell it on his behalf. The first load of pics are from them. I purchased the car from them in May 2017 with delivery mileage on only. Again was spanking new. To find one then untracked and abused was rare, let alone now.
I cherished her but decided i was going to use it occasionally. So it was used on rare weekends. I had to change a few bits before use and ended up installing a rotrex charger, charge cooler which just tranformed the car. Its been looked after by Tom and the guys from Datum motorsport who look after my lotuss. They installed the same setup on it they won the lotus cup with on their 2elevens.
Moving on i was moving house and getting married so sold her in 2021 with 1800miles on i think from memory. Regretted it massivly.
The owner i sold it to done 3 hill climbs in it and owned her for 2 years. He had a change of plan and reached out to me for sale and i snapped his hands off to have her back last year.
He only done 400miles in that time and spent 20k on improvements…..hard to believe he spent that as i done all the main stuff….but there are reciepts for it all. She came back with a full tubular exhaust and gt3 silencer….mapped now up to 325hp with printout. 670kg. New Brakes which are absolutely amazing. Also has PPF, fresh ao48s, carbon tillet seat with spare rare lotus motorsport race seat (the original that came with the car), motorsport big front splitter. Plumbed in extinquisher system. Bespoke v6 gear selector install which is a game changer on these cars as the standard gear stick is aweful.
Have to say his improvments were spot on. The car drives so well. Honestly such an experience to drive. Coupled with the mileage and condition, the digital dash etc….she is the best around.
Car is number 351 of 356 produced, i have the lotus certificate of provenance for her. It was spec’d with the following: lotus motorsport fia seat, twin oil coolers, 6 point gt4 roll cage, torsen LSD, full lighting, F & R towing eyes, carbon aero pack rear wing. Electric cut off, removeable steering wheel, forged wheels.
Ive just dropped it in for a bespoke tubular unsilenced centre pipe which has just arrived and goes on next week (this is about 1k)…. ive been waiting 4 months for it…. will have a check over and a reciept confirming all in perfect working order.
She has an extensive service history and record, everything is documented. Mot runs out may 25.
