98 Elise S1 with Sinclair 165hp upgrade
I am putting my Elise up for sale as I have unexpectedly bought a Caterham and it seems silly to keep both cars. I also have four other cars and only cover around 3k miles a year.
It’s one of the lower priced cars on the market but it had a full inspection at Phoenix Motorsport and passed with only a couple of recommendations of things to address.

Fitted with the following sensible upgrades:
RT Sport 165ps kit fitted by Sinclaires, includes PTP VHPD big valve head, alloy inlet manifold, alloy throttle body, Janspeed supersport exhaust system plus more.
Elise parts remote thermostat.
Magnecor ht leads.
111s close ratio gearbox.
Sport 160 style rear spoiler.
Has had a suspension refresh at some point in its life including polybushes.
Sport 160 adjustable anti rollbar.
Braided brake lines.
Period correct alloy interior upgrades.
S2 green leather seats (usual wear to the drivers side bolster and sill pads).
Toyo T1R tyres.
Green soft top in excellent condition to match the green leather interior.
Body work in particularly good condition with just a few marks and stone chips.
Obviously its an old car now with a fair number of miles and does require some TLC such as:
The interior could do with a retrim.
Alloy wheels refurbishment, toe links replacing if you were to take it on track and rear calliper seals could do with a rebuild(rebuild kit supplied).
It’s a quick car and really gets into it stride above 4,000rpm, has the usual lumpy Sport 160 type idle. The car drives very well, I took it to Oulton park where it was faultless for the day.
