1998 Spice Yellow Elise S1
The car has always been kept in a garage or air-bubble and has very rarely seen rain and never tracked. The paintwork is blemish free with only a couple of small chips on the front clam. The Spice Yellow pearl metallic paintwork just gleams in the sunshine.
All four alloys are original, in perfect condition having never been painted in the past. Four matching Yokohama ADO8R tyres, good tread on the rear and the fronts have only seen a few hundred miles having been put on in May this year.
Full set of two keys with remote fobs and alarm actuators and some spare parts as well.
Thatcham Cat 1 Alarm with void intrusion sensor.
The service history is just as good as the cars physical appearance.
The car had had 16 Services, all at Lotus or Lotus Specialists:
At 28,738 miles in April 2012, the car had a full C-Service and again at 37,307 miles in May 2017 with A and B services as per schedule in between using Mobil 1 10/60 as per factory specs. All recorded in the book which is full of stamps (I had to get another book for this year!) and every invoice present for my ownership and most prior to my owning it from 2015.
It currently has 40,957 miles recorded which will not increase as it has been put away for the winter. The car has covered less than 1,000 miles from the last service (£,1250 spent) and MOT on 22nd May 2019, so nothing to do other than a B Service at MOT time next year.
A beautiful folder comes with the car, detailing all the work she’s had.
Upgrades and extras fitted are as follows:
The upgraded Series 2 Bilstein suspension.
Quick Shift gear linkage. New Elise parts gear linkage kit supplied with the car which I intended to fit to improve the gear change but have not got around to it.
Elise parts lightweight sports Exhaust fitted in May 2019
Yokohama AD08R tyres all round.
Green stuff brake pads and grooved/dimpled discs. (Series 2 Upgrades)
Braided stainless steel brake and upgraded clutch hose.
The hood is not pictured, but it is as per the rest of the car as it is hardly ever used and is black in colour.
Car comes with a green indoor Lotus cover and also a ‘shower cap’ which is unused!
This car has always been loved and cherished and I will be very sad to see it go but I have set my sights on an Evora and only have garage space for one car ..
The car was on the front cover and featured in Classic Cars magazine in December 2015 to celebrate 20 years of the Elise, a copy of the magazine and the photo set will come with the car.
In summary, this Elise is ready to go…fantastic condition and impeccable servicing, get in touch to view the car.
